Our Champion Supporters

Meet our dog loving champions who will be taking part this September!

Carley Stenson

World Big Dog Walk Champion

''During these difficult times we have all felt such a comfort and reassurance from our loving pets and had time to enjoy all the creatures around us. I know my boys have been my purpose. So now more than ever we need to help the charities that care for them. Being unable to home their animals, not having the full staff they need or funds for utilities to care for them has been so difficult. Please help them and share some love if you can.''

Clare Balding

World Big Dog Walk Champion

“I am so excited about the World Big Dog Walk as it's a great way of bringing people together (safely) to share their love of dogs and to raise money for some brilliant charities. I'm raising money for Street Vet which offers help to homeless people with dogs.”

Michaela Strachan

World Big Dog Walk Champion

''Really excited to be supporting the World Big Dog Walk. What a great way to get dog walkers around the world raising money for the dogs we love. Me and my rescue dog Rio, will defo be joining in.’'

Adem Fehmi

World Big Dog Walk Champion

Owner and founder of Dog-ease, Adem Fehmi’s passion and fascination with dogs started as a young child and since then he has studied, observed, worked, lived with, and breathed these amazing creatures.

Adem has spent over 15 years working with dog owners in order to help them to fully understand their doggy best friends and, when necessary, overcome any training or behavioural issues they might be experiencing. Adem’s aim is to help as many people as possible to enjoy their dogs and, consequently, as many dogs to enjoy their humans!

With his Doggo crew he is attempting to complete 100 miles our world walk challenge!

Dr Amit Patel and Kika

World Big Dog Walk Champion

Dr Amit Patel is an author, disability rights campaigner, motivational speaker and independent accessibility consultant. He is registered severely sight impaired (blind) having lost his sight to keratoconus in 2013.

His beautiful Labrador Guide Dog Kika has been with Amit since 2015 and together they travel through London and its surrounding areas on a daily basis, charting their journeys, challenges and the people they meet on their travels via their Twitter & Instagram accounts.

There is no better pair to inspire dog-lovers to get out walking for canine charities this September.

Rob Osman and Lally

World Big Dog Walk Champion

Rob Osman founder of @Dudesanddogs – a community interest group with Men’s Mental Health at its focus - always knew he wanted to help people. In his search for the best way to do this, he thought about how the fresh air and a walk with his doggo Lally helped him during his lowest times.

Rob says “the good it does me is for another time. But when I was reaching out to others to help, part of my message was - come on a dog walk - and it reaffirmed what I already knew. This was a way I could help people. By giving them what I had. Walking with your dog offers that time out, that moment away, no signal, no noise just nature and time”

They will be clocking up the miles and taking some wild swims this September!
