Official Charity Partner
Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust is the UK's largest dog welfare charity with 20 rehoming centres around the UK, usually helping more than 15,000 dogs each year with love, care and attention by a dedicated team of Canine Carers who will always go above and beyond for all our canine residents and help find forever homes for our furry friends.
They receive no direct government funding, so rely on the generosity of dog lovers like you to ensure all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. Dogs Trust never puts down a healthy dog.
The pandemic has seen a surge of dogs being abandoned. Recently, Dogs Trust has received one call every 11 minutes from desperate and caring owners needing to handover their dog – that’s an average of 50 calls a day – and a lot of dog’s hearts that need mending.
They need to be ready to offer those dogs safe and warm shelter, urgent medical care, nutritious meals, special training, and the support and love they will be missing - whatever it takes to mend their hearts - but our resources are stretched more than ever.
You can help mend broken hearts by setting up a JustGiving page for the event, with money raised invested in the fantastic rehoming centres so they can be there for the nations dogs’, to fund preventative work to help protect dogs in the future, and to invest in, develop and promote information to help dog owners understand the needs of their pooch pals.
There is no minimum target to raise by setting up a fundraising page, but if you raise at least £50, you will receive an exclusive Dogs Trust bandana.
