When and where are the Big Dog Walks?

Sunday 11th April 2021 - Harewood House, West Yorkshire

Sunday 18th April 2021 - Belvoir Castle, Lincolnshire

Sunday 25th April 2021 - Chatelherault Country Park, Glasgow

Sunday 9th May 2021 - St Clere, Kent

Sunday 16th May 2021 - Borde Hill Gardens, Sussex

Sunday 23rd May 2021 - Loseley Park, Surrey

What time are the walks?

Our Event Village is open from 9:30am to enjoy all of the free activities.

There will be two walk start times to manage capacity. Choose between a 10:30 and 11:30 walk, and arrive up to 1 hour before your start time to have a sniff around before the walk starts. We'll have walk leaders on each route and you can stop off along the way at our pawsome pitstops for a drink and a rest. 

How much are tickets?

Adult ticket - £10.50  (£11.13 inc. booking fee)

CHILDREN UNDER 16 & ALL DOGS GO FREE

Can I buy tickets on the day?

To ensure we can manage capacity, tickets will only be available to purchase online, in advance. They will not be available on the door. If you would like to learn more about how we plan to keep you and your dog safe at the Big Dog Walk, click here.

What Covid safety guidelines are in place?

The health and well-being of all our humans and dogs are of utmost importance to us. Click here to see what we will be doing at the Big Dog Walk to manage the risk of transmission. 

How do my dog and I raise money for Charity?

The Big Dog Walk would like as many people taking part to get sponsored for their walk as possible. 

If you already have a Charity in mind that you wish to support then you can buy your place as normal and start your fundraising for them straight away. We would always suggest contacting the charity you are fundraising for as they will be able to help you on your fundraising journey! Click here to view more information on raising money for charity.

Is parking free at the Big Dog Walks?

Yes, parking is free at all of the Big Dog Walk venues.

Are the walks wheelchair friendly?

Unfortunately, because of the terrain and varying weather conditions we cannot guarantee the walks will be suitable for wheelchair users. To view our full Accessibility information, click here

I've lost my tickets/confirmation email, how can I get another one?

For any ticket related enquiries, please contact our ticket providers. You can do this by filling out their online customer service form https://www.seetickets.com/customerservice   

Alternatively, you can call 0871 230 2200 for ticket assistance. Please note: calls cost 13 per minute plus network access charge. 

Are there any shaded/undercover areas in case of extreme weather?

Yes, there are tented areas for dogs to rest and take cover in case of extreme hot or wet weather on the route. 

Visitors should make extra provisions for any weather eventuality as although we’d love to have sunshine we cannot guarantee this due to the great British weather! The Big Dog Walk organisers advise bringing provisions suitable for walking including appropriate footwear and waterproof clothing. 

Animal Welfare

Please consider the temperament of your dog before you decide to attend. The walks will be busy with other dogs and people, and knowing your own dog(s), you should consider if this is an environment which they will enjoy. Please keep your dog(s) on a lead at all times when you are at on the walk. For our full animal welfare guidelines, click here

Can I attend the Big Dog Walk without my dog?

Yes, you more than are welcome to attend and enjoy a Sunday stoll alongside lots of doggy friends. Be sure to check with their human before you stroke any dogs. 

Can I volunteer at the Big Dog Walk?

Yes, we would like as many two legged helpers as we can find for our events. If you want to join our pack please message us on our Facebook page, or email info@bigdogwalk.co.uk

Can I bring something to eat and drink?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink for you and your dog! There will also be a variety of delicious options for you browse in our Event Village. 

Public video and photography

We allow filming at the event but wish to protect the integrity of the event. You are free to record your own visit for your own personal home use. You will not be able to sell any photos or moving images of the event for commercial or other gain. Please respect the privacy of other attendees who may not want to be filmed. Please do not bring any professional equipment with you and please be aware of health and safety issues. 

Are the Big Dog Walk events run by Dogfest?

Yes, the Big Dog Walk is one of the most popular features of our Dogfest events and we are now able to bring all the fun from Dogfest to new locations across the country.
